اے جوئے آب بڑھ کے ہو دریائے تند و تیز
ساحل تجھے عطا ہو تو ساحل نہ کر قبول
O! Streamlet, speed up the FLOW and turn into a STRONG TORRENT and Deep.
If you reach a RIVER BANK, Speed up the FLOW and do not STOP, KEEP GOING and be ALWAS on the MOVE, and that SHOULD be your OBJECTIVE.
لقد خلقنا الإنسان في كبد
تندئ باد مخالف سے نہ گبھرا اے عقاب
یہ تو چلتی ہے تجھے اونچا اڑھانے کے لیے ۔
یا رب درون سینہ دل با خبر بدہ
در بادہ نشہء را نگرم، آں نظر بدہ
یا رب میرے سینے میں با خبر دل عطا کر اور ایسی نظر عطا کر جو شراب میں نشہ دیکھ لے۔
“دیکھوں نشےکو مےمیں کر ایسی نظر عطا”۔
دوسرے لفظوں میں اے اللہ مجھے وہ صلاحیتیں عطا کر کہ کائنات کے راز جان سکوں اور چیزوں کی حقیقت کو پہچان لوں۔
حق کو حق جانوں اور باطل کو باطل۔
(انسان کو یہ صلاحیتیں صرف قرآن سے مل سکتی ہیں) ۔
ایں بندہ را کہ با نفس دیگراں نزیست
یک آہ خانہ زاد مثال سحر بدہ
“اک آہ خانہ زاد ہو مثل سحر عطا ”
تیرا یہ بندہ دوسروں کا سہارا نہیں چاہتا ۔ اپنی ذات کی ایسی پہچان دے دے جو اس کی زندگی میں سحر کر دے۔ یعنی اللہ کی ذات کی ایسی پہچان کہ میری زندگی اس کے رنگ میں رنگ جائے ۔

پیر حرم نے کہا سن کے مری روئداد
پختہ ہے تیری فغاں، اب نہ اسے دل میں تھام
After listening to my whole State of affairs, my Spiritual Guide assured me that your emotional strength has reached the plenitude of its power therefore, do not keep/hold it your self.
حلقہء صوفى میں ذکر، بے نم و بے سوز و ساز
میں بھی رہا تشنہ کام، تو بھی رہا تشنہ کام
ZIKR in the Sufis’ Circle remained devoid of ecstasy. I remained unsatisfied, so were all in the Circle.
عشق تیری انتہا، عشق مری انتہا
تو بھی ابھی ناتمام، میں بھی ابھی ناتمام
ISHQ is your Passion, so is mine. We both have not reached the peak.
آہ ! یہ دنیا، یہ ماتم خانہء برنا و پیر
آدمی ہے کس طلسم دوش و فردا میں اسیر!
Ah! This world, which has become, “the house of mourning” for the young and old.
The Mankind has become the Captive of the Spellbinding circumstances/surroundings of the Time (وقت کی گردش/چکر)۔
کتنی مشکل زندگی ہے، کس قدر آساں ہے موت
گلشن ہستی میں مانند نسیم ارزاں ہے موت
والعصر ! ان الإنسان لفى خسر….
The Time; the History of Mankind (انسانیت) is witness to the FACT that human efforts resulted in Loss, his actions could not produce POSITIVE RESULTS, in every walk of life, he remained unsuccessful. Mankind failed to meet their Objectives/Goals. WHY SO, Let’s ask the Quran: What was the REASON that the Mankind was in a STATE of total loss?- The majority of the people did not believe in Divine Laws/Values Operating in nature.
- They did not work for the COLLECTIVE Good; helping those who lag behind, and improving human Potentials/Abilities (they were Selfish).
- They uphold hearsay and conjecture.
- They refrained from Holding Al-Haqq/human rights. They followed the Man-made System based on Falsehood. They were drenched in Material based life / Bay-Sharaf (بے شرف) ZINDAGI.
محبت کا جنوں باقی نہیں ہے
مسلمانوں میں خوں باقی نہیں ہے
صفیں کج، دل پریشاں، سجدہ بے ذوق
کہ جزب اندروں باقی نہیں ہے
The PASSION of love has withered away.
The PATTERN of life of Muslims gone ASTRAY (Unpractical & in WRONG Direction)
THE LIFE OF MOST OF THE MUSLIMS IS:
- Without GOALS/OBJECTIVES & without PLAN
- Aimless & Directionless
- Undisciplined & Unbalanced
- Disturbed & Confused
- Ambiguous
- Blindly following Maulvis & Muftis; Just following RITUALS
- Without URGE/PASSION to Study, Understand, Ponder and Practice Allah’s Laws, Principles and Permanent Values of Quran
افلا يتدبرون القرآن أم على قلوب اقفالها
- Drenched in FIRQAYS/SECTS
- Following Man-made, Material Based Systems as AGAINST Values Based System
- Following their OWN WANTS/WISHES/DESIRES/OPINIONS.
WHY SO?
Our beloved NABI’s (saws) COMPLAINT TO ALLAH SWT given in Quran:
25:30 (Al-Furqan)
وَقَالَ الرَّسُوْلُ يٰرَبِّ اِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوْا ھٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنَ مَهْجُوْرًا
(سورة الفرقان , آیت 30)
اور رسول کہے گا کہ اے میرے نشوونما دینے والے! یہی ہے میری وہ قوم جس نے اِس قرآن کو‘ اپنے خود ساختہ معتقدات کی رسیوں سے‘ اس طرح جکڑ دیا تھا کہ یہ آزادی سے دو قدم چلنے کے قابل بھی نہیں رہا تھا (انہوں نے‘ اپنے آپ کو اس کے تابع رکھنے کے بجائے‘ اسے اپنے مسلک ومشرب کے تابع رکھ چھوڑا تھا)
And the Rasool will say, “O my Rabb, this is the very nation of mine which had put the Quran into the shackles of self conceived ideas, whereby it could not move even a few steps freely.” (Instead of being guided by the Quran, they made it subservient to their own beliefs and customs.)
وہ زمانے میں معزز تھے مسلماں ہو کر
اور تم خوار ہوے تارک قرآن ہو کر
گر تو می خواہی مسلماں زیستن
نیست ممکن جز بہ قراں زیستن
رگوں میں وہ لہو باقی نہیں ہے
وہ دل، وہ آرزو باقی نہیں ہے
نماز و روزہ و قربانی و حج
یہ سب باقی ہیں، تو باقی نہیں ہے
فکر بے نور ترا، جذب عمل بے بنیاد
سخت مشکل ہےکہ روشن ہو شب تار حیات
اے مسلمانو!
۔۔۔.افبا الباطل يؤمنون و بنعمث الله هم الكافرون
……Will people, then stick to false/man-made Systems in the Society and thus TURN UNGRATEFUL to Allah’s IMMENSE BLESSINGS that He has Showered on us.
سب کچھ جانتے ہوئے باطل پر ایمان رکھتے ہو اس کی نعمتوں کا انکار کرتے ہو۔

پرواز ہے دونوں کی اسی ایک فضا میں
کرگس کا جہاں اور ہے، شاہین کا جہاں اور
الفاظ و معانی میں تفاوت نہیں لیکن
مُلّا کی آذان اور، مجاہد کی آذان اور
“کافر کی پہچان کہ آفاق میں گم ہے”
“مومن کی پہچان کہ گم اس میں ہے آفاق”
What a Great Level of “Momin” Allama Iqbal has identified !!
The identification of KAAFIR (the person who consistently denies TRUTH) is that he is wandering in the SPACE / SKY.
And, Momin (the person who consistently have FULL FAITH in Allah’s Laws, Principles and Permanent Values) is identified as a person whose SELF is fully equipped with Knowledge of Science / Space.

“Al-Kashshaaf” means “The Revealer”.
The writer’s name is Al-Zamakhshari.
He also wrote a Seminal Tafseer (Influential and creative Commentary on the Quran)
There was some Mu’tazilah Philosophy in his Tafseer, which invited a lot of Criticism for Al-Zamakhshari.

نار سے، نور سے، تہی آغوش
This coldest place is Jahannam

The one who learns lessons from the destructive results of other people’s bad deeds.
اہل دنیا یہاں جو آتے ہیں،
اپنے انگار ساتھ لاتے ہیں،

مفہوم
1. An angel took Allama Iqbal to visit the outer space/skies (as people think that Jahannam is somewhere in the skies/space) and after visiting Jannat, he saw, from a distance, a completely dark and extremely cool place (coldest in the Universe). On asking, Angel told that this is جہنم.
2. Surprized, Allama Iqbal asked the angel, what is this; so dark & cold place. (I have heard that in Jahannam there will be high flames/fire all around)
3. Angel responded that there are “NO” flames and fire here at this place in Jahannam.
4. Allama Iqbal surprized? (as he heard about Jahannam, situation different)
5. Angel replied, “Jahannam borrows fire/flames for it”, and this is the fire/flames which the people of the world are feared off. People learn lessons from their results of BAD deeds.
And these flames/fire is borrowed from the bad people who bring their bad deeds (results in the form of fires/flames) and then the Jahannam becomes hotter & hotter, the more the bad people bring the results of their bad deeds, in the form of Flames/Fires (the fire of agony/mental suffering).

Such a fire that encompass Hearts/Think-Tanks of Humans.
