اَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰــهَهٗ هَوٰىهُ

 1.⁠ One becomes heedless to REMEMBRANCE of Divine Laws/Values

 2.⁠ Others easily divert you from your OWN Mission/Goal

 3.⁠ They fail to respond to the Divine Messages

 4.⁠ They go farther ASTRAY without Allah’s Guidance

 5.⁠ They seriously lack CONVICTION.

 6.⁠ They choose to do WRONG

 7.⁠ They remain in quest for the Glitter of this world

 8.⁠ They turn on one’s heel when invited to follow Divine Commands

 9.⁠ Despite knowledge they go ASTRAY

10.⁠ They don’t pay attention to ADMONITIONS of Quran.

45: 23 (Al-Jaathia)

اَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰــهَهٗ هَوٰىهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ اللّٰهُ عَلٰي عِلْمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلٰي سَمْعِهٖ وَقَلْبِهٖ وَجَعَلَ عَلٰي بَصَرِهٖ غِشٰوَةً ۭ فَمَنْ يَّهْدِيْهِ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اللّٰهِ ۭ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ

(یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ جب انسان کو عقل وفہم دے دیا گیا تو پھر اسے وحی کی راہ نمائی کی کیا ضرورت ہے)۔ لیکن کیا تو نے اس شخص کی حالت پر غور نہیں کیا جو اپنے جذبات ہی کو اپنا معبود بنا لیتا ہے اور وہی کچھ کرتا ہے جو اس کی خواہشات کا تقاضا ہوتا ہے۔ تم نے دیکھا کہ وہ علم وعقل رکھنے کے باوجود کس طرح غلط راستوں پر چلے جاتا ہے۔ اس پر جذبات اس بری طرح غالب آجاتے ہیں کہ یوں نظر آتا ہے گویا اس کے کانوں پر اور دل پر مہریں لگ چکی ہیں۔ اور اس کی آنکھوں پر پردے پڑ چکے ہیں۔ اسے نہ کچھ سنائی دیتا ہے۔ نہ دکھائی دیتا ہے۔ اور نہ ہی اس کی سمجھ بوجھ کچھ کام کرتی ہے ۔

ذرا سوچو کہ جو شخص اس طرح اپنے جذبات سے مغلوب ہوجائے‘ تو وحی الهى کے علاوہ وہ کونسی طاقت ہے جو اس کی راہ نمائی صحیح راستے کی طرف کر سکتی ہے؟ (انسان کے پاس سب سے بڑی قوت عقل ہی کی ہے۔ لیکن جب اس پر جذبات غالب آجائیں تو عقل خود ان جذبات کی لونڈی بن جاتی ہے‘ اور ان کے بروئے کار آنے کے لئے سامان وذرائع بہم پہنچاتی‘ اور ان کے جواز کے لئے فریب آمیز دلیلیں وضع کرتی ہے۔ ان حالات میں‘ کوئی ایسی قوت ہی اس کی راہ نمائی کر سکتی ہے جو عقل اور اس کے سطحی جذبات سے بلند ہو۔ اور یہ قوت‘ وحی الهی کے علاوہ کوئی اور نہیں ہوسکتی)۔

کیا تم اس حقیقت پر غور نہیں کرتے؟

(People ask why human beings need guidance of Wahi when they have been given intellect and ability to reason). But have you not come across a person who takes his own feelings and emotions as his ‘Ilaha’ and then does whatever his desires dictate? Have you not seen how, inspite of possessing knowledge and intellect, he treads the wrong path? His emotions overpower him, as if his hearing and heart have been sealed and his eyes covered with a veil. He can neither hear nor see anything and he does not comprehend anything.

When a person is so overwhelmed by his emotions who else can provide him guidance, except Divine Revelation? (The most valuable faculty a human being has is his intellect. When intellect is blinded by emotions it becomes enslaved and consequently finds ways to serve desires and coin arguments to justify them. Under such circumstances only a power that is higher than human intellect and emotions can provide guidance. And this power can be none other than Divine Guidance, the Wahi.) Can you not ponder over this reality?
