7: 179 (Al-Aa’raaf)
What those people do?

………لَهُمْ قُلُوْبٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُوْنَ بِهَا ۡ وَلَهُمْ اَعْيُنٌ لَّا يُبْصِرُوْنَ بِهَا ۡ وَلَهُمْ اٰذَانٌ لَّا يَسْمَعُوْنَ بِهَا ۭاُولٰۗيكَ كَالْاَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ اَضَلُّ اُولٰۗيكَ هُمُ الْغٰفِلُوْنَ

(سورة الأعراف , آیت 179)

MAFHOOM مفہوم

۔۔۔۔۔اللہ کی باتیں تو عقل و فہم اور غور و تدبر سے سمجھ میں آسکتی ہیں اور انسانوں کی اکثریت کا یہ عالم ہے کہ مہذب اقوام ہوں‘ یا جاہل بدوی لوگ، وہ زندگی‘ جہنم میں گزارتے ہیں۔ یعنی:

1. ۔ سینے میں دل رکھتے ہیں‘ لیکن اس سے سمجھنے سوچنے کا کام کبھی نہیں لیتے۔
2. ۔ اُن کی آنکھیں بھی ہوتی ہیں‘ لیکن اُن سے دیکھنے کا کام نہیں لیتے۔
3. ۔ وہ کان بھی رکھتے ہیں ‘ لیکن ان سے سنتے نہیں۔
یہ لوگ انسان نہیں‘ بالکل حیوان ہوتے ہیں۔ بلکہ ان سے بھی زیادہ راہ گم کردہ۔ (اس لئے کہ حیوان کم از کم اپنے جبلی تقاضوں کے مطابق تو چلتے ہیں۔ اور اِس قسم کے انسان‘ اِن حدود سے بھی) بے خبر رہتے ہیں۔

We can understand Kalam Allah by using our Intellect and reasoning. But those who do not use their GOD-GIFTED Potentials/Abilities, live an UNLIVED life; Life of Jahannam:

بے شرف زندگی

WHY?

1. ⁠They have been given the faculties of thinking (Heart) but they do not use them to understand
2. ⁠They have faulty of seeing (Eyes) with which they see not.
3. ⁠They have the Ability of hearing (Ears) but they do not Utilize them (to grasp the TRUTH).

They are just like brutes/cattle and indeed worse than them. They remain unheedful of the Laws/Values of Allah. They are the ones who let the life pass by Unaware of its Potentials. Cattle are at least guided by their Natural Instincts.
Ghaafiloon (غافلون):
1. ⁠Those who let the Life pass by Unaware of its POTENTIALS.
2. ⁠Neglectful
3. ⁠Unaware
4. ⁠Careless
Failing to use GOD-GIFTED Faculties is the FIRST WRONG one can commit.
It brings the humans to sub-human level.
These are the people whose abode will be Jahannam.

وَقَالُوْا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ اَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِيْٓ اَصْحٰبِ السَّعِيْرِ

(سورة الملك , آیت 10)

اور وہ اصل بات کو تسلیم کر لیں گے کہ ہم نے عقل وفکر سے کام ہی نہ لیا ۔ یونہی تعصب ‘ ہٹ دھرمی اور اندھی تقلید کی بنا پر اُن کی مخالفت کرتے رہے۔ اگر ہم بگوش ہوش ان لوگوں کی بات سنتے، جو ہمیں انذار (WARN) کرتے تھے، اور عقل وفکر سے کام لیتے ‘ تو آج اس جہنم میں کیوں ہوتے؟ جہنم میں جاتا ہی وہ ہے جو عقل وفکر سے کام نہیں لیتا۔

Truly we did not utilize our intellect and ability to think; and we opposed him with sheer prejudice and stubbornness. Had we listened to the one, who WARNED us of the destructive RESULTS of going AGAINST Divine Laws/Values, attentively and used our Intellect, we would not be in this Jahannum?
The one who does not think and use intellect, in line with Divine Laws/Values, goes to Jahannum.
They will ADMIT that If we really listened to the WARNER and used our Intelligence, we would not be among the “Dwellers of the Flames.
